Hi, I'm Celeste! I am a Ph.D. biologist and self-taught illustrator and designer, passionate about nature and art. I love drawing animals, flowers and cute characters that can help promote the knowledge of our vast biodiversity.
I was born and raised in Argentina, the most Southern country in our world. I lived in a city my whole life until I moved to a tiny town in Virginia. I feel that, as a city kid, I had fewer opportunities to know and explore the fauna and flora surrounding me.
I get my inspiration from the beauty and admiration I feel for the natural world. I like to use delicate color palettes in playful illustrations of the lovely creatures of our planet and imagine little stories or scenarios for them.
I believe that art is a vital part of how children perceive the world and connect with nature. I would like my artwork to bridge them to their surroundings and awaken their curiosity, admiration and imagination.
When I am not drawing, you can find me hiking with my husband and friends or exploring new baking recipes!
